Book excerpt: Excerpt from United States Government Publications, 1893, Vol. 9: A Monthly Catalogue Apologies are disagreeable in every sense, and should never be necessary, but we feel that in justice to ourselves we should ex plain that the late appearance of the catalogue for the first three months of 1893 is largely to be accounted for by the fact that up to the adjournment of Congress, on the fourth of March, it was probable that the proposed printing bill might become law, in which event the continued publication of the catalogue would have become impossible. After the adjournment the work was prosecuted as rapidly as possible. The April and May numbers will follow in a few weeks.
