Daniel was a prophet and a preacher, but he was not from the tribe of Levi, therefore he did not qualify for tithe. Only the Levites were authorized to do anything in the tabernacle. The tithe paid for the butchers, the janitors, teachers, musicians, and all tabernacle workers. So if tithing is required today, all these should be paid from it. Let's look at a pay check.
