Book Synopsis The Temp Factor for Job Seekers by : Cathy Reilly

Download or read book The Temp Factor for Job Seekers written by Cathy Reilly. This book was released on 2011-10. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you are looking for work, consider temporary employment a valuable source of job opportunities. As a temp, you can increase job skills and work experience, expand business networks, strengthen your resume, and avoid gaps in employment, all while being paid. Quite often, temp work can be a "job audition" because it puts temps in front of hiring managers and decision makers for days, weeks, or even months at a time while on job assignments. The Temp Factor for Job Seekers: The Job Seeker's Guide to Temporary Employment presents how this job search strategy may get you back to work faster. Becoming a temp guarantees what a resume cannot: face time inside the doors of potential employers. With over 20 years of experience working with staffing service firms and temps, Cathy A. Reilly teaches you about the advantages, challenges, pay, and benefits of being a temp. She explains what clients and staffing services look for in effective temps, how to find and apply to a high quality staffing service, and how to distinguish yourself from the crowd. Corporate culture, job performance issues, temp assessment tools, interview questions (and answers that have impact), real-world insights and "must knows" are included in this comprehensive manual.

Download or read book Experimental Investigation of Temperature Recovery Factors on Bodies of Revolution at Supersonic Speeds written by William R. Wimbrow. This book was released on 1949. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Local temperature recovery factors have been measured on two bodies of revolution at Mach numbers of 2.0 and are shown to be independent of Mach number, Reynolds number, or body shape. The measured recovery factor is well represented by the square root of Prandtl number for laminar boundary layers and by the cube root of Prandtl number for turbulent boundary layers, as predicted by theory.

Book Synopsis Temperature Recovery Factors on a Slender 12° Cone-cylinder at Mach Numbers from 3.0 to 6.3 and Angles of Attack Up to 45° by : John O. Reller

Download or read book Temperature Recovery Factors on a Slender 12° Cone-cylinder at Mach Numbers from 3.0 to 6.3 and Angles of Attack Up to 45° written by John O. Reller. This book was released on 1955. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abstract: Temperature recovery factors were determined for a slender, thin-walled cone-cylinder, having a 12° vertex angle and a 1.25-inch-diameter cylinder, at Mach numbers from 3.02 to 6.30. The angle-of-attack range was 0° to 45° at Mach numbers up to 3.50, and about 0° to 20° at Mach numbers from 4.23 to 6.30. A transverse cylinder of the same diameter was also tested at Mach number 3.02. Free-stream Reynolds numbers varied from 1.8 to 11.0 million per foot. Flow visualization studies of boundary-layer transition and flow separation were made and the results correlated with recovery-factor measurements.
