Four of every ten students who graduate from hampden-sydney College will go to some type of graduate or professional school; the remainder will go directly into the active job market. One in three will become managers of services, products, or institutions. One in ten will enter sales or sales management. One in ten will become a physician or dentist. One in ten will become a lawyer. One in ten will enter the teaching profession. Almost all hampden-sydney graduates will become practicing professionals of one type or another. And that is important. But what happens between the time a student enters Hampden - Sydney College and the time he leaves is equally important.
