Although much remains to be done in applying these conclusions, in investigating the related is sues of overtime, rest and lunch periods, night work, and in study ing the other elements of industrial fatigue, such as speed, monotony, public pressure, etc., findings of this survey point toward very definite conclusions in regard to a shorter maximum for working hours for women. This survey has made special study of the question of industrial fatigue as outlined in the introduction. Some study has been made also of accidents and night work. The following statements cover the findings of the Illinois Indus trial Survey. Each will be briefly explained in the sections of this chapter. Detailed findings will be presented in the chapters which follow. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
