Book Synopsis The Apologetics of Joy by : Joe Puckett Jr

Download or read book The Apologetics of Joy written by Joe Puckett Jr. This book was released on 2013-05-30. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among all the arguments for the existence of God there may be none more personal and intimate than C.S. Lewis's Argument from Desire. This book attempts to explain what the Argument from Desire is and why we believe that the argument is an inductively strong one. In the spirit of C.S. Lewis, Augustine, and Pascal, this book invites both the head and the heart of the reader to consider the case for God's existence. While many arguments look out to the external world for evidence of God's existence, this book calls the reader to look inward to the human heart. While learning from classical thinkers (particularly C.S. Lewis) The Apologetics of Joy will bring both intuition and experience together to demonstrate the truth of divine presence in the world. The reader will walk away with either a newfound faith or a reinforced conviction that has a strong intellectual and experiential dimension.

Book Synopsis Sing Us a Song of Joy by : Philip W. Eaton

Download or read book Sing Us a Song of Joy written by Philip W. Eaton. This book was released on 2018-02-05. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Out on the barren margins of Babylonian exile, the great Psalmist suggests their captors are actually asking for a song of joy. Imagine that. Is it possible to sing the Lord's song in a foreign land? Christians today find themselves caught up in the massive sweep of secularizing culture. Do we have a joyful song to sing anymore? Do we know what our song has been throughout history? Could we possibly sing as a mighty choir, just perhaps igniting spiritual renewal for our world--and for each one of us as well? This book proposes the possibility of finding a new song for our time.
