The Round Peak musical style is synonymous with the old time music pairing of the fiddle with the African-derived banjo and was considered to be the defining ensemble sound for community dance music as played by the holy trinity of the Round Peak banjo masters: Kyle Creed, Fred Cockerham, and Tommy Jarrell. As most of the Round Peak repertoire is played in the traditional fiddle keys of D Major and A Major, they are the keys that are used in the arrangements of some of the traditional Appalachian fiddle tunes that form its living tradition. Includes a lengthy instructional introduction. Songs are presented in banjo tab.
