Download or read book Proceedings of the National Workshop on Recent Advances in Condensed Matter and High Energy Physics written by Kusum Lata Pandey. This book was released on 2022-09-01. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents peer-reviewed articles from the National Workshop on Recent Advances in Condensed Matter and High Energy Physics-2021 (CMHEP-2021). This workshop was held in the Department of Physics, Ewing Christian College (ECC), Prayagraj, in collaboration with National Academic of Sciences (NASI), Prayagraj, India, in 2021. The book highlights recent theoretical and experimental developments in condensed matter and high energy physics which include novel phases of matter, namely crystalline and non-crystalline phases, unconventional superconducting phases, magnetic phases and Quark–Gluon plasma phases along with searches of neutrino and dark matter. This book provides a good resource for beginners as well as advanced researchers in the field of condensed matter and high energy physics.

Book Synopsis Condensed Matter Theories by : P. Vashishta

Download or read book Condensed Matter Theories written by P. Vashishta. This book was released on 1988-01-01. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The second volume of Condensed Matter Theories contains the proceedings of the 10th International Workshop held at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL, U.S.A. during the week of July 21, 1986. The workshop was attended by high-energy, nuclear and condensed-matter physicists as well as materials scientists. This diverse blend of participants was in keeping with the flavor of the previous workshops. This annual series of international workshops was"started in 1977 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Subsequent'workshops were held in Trieste (Italy), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Caracas (Venezuela), Altenberg (West Germany), Granada (Spain), and San Francisco (U.S.A.). What began as a meeting of the physicists from the Western Hemisphere has expanded in the last three years into an international conference of scientists with diverse interests and backgrounds. This diversity has promoted a healthy exchange of ideas from different branches of physics and also fruitful interactions among the participants. The present volume is a continuation of the effort started last year when the invited papers from the 9th International Workshop were published by Plenum Press. Our only trepidation in organizing a book of this kind stemmed from the diversity of the material, which did not lend itself easily to well-defined topics. Still, the articles are loosely divided into eight categories, where the papers in each category have either a common theme or the same underlying technique.

Book Synopsis Recent Developments in Condensed Matter Physics by : J. T. Devreese

Download or read book Recent Developments in Condensed Matter Physics written by J. T. Devreese. This book was released on 2012-12-06. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These volumes contain the invited and contributed talks of the first general Conference of the Condensed Matter Division of the European Physical Society, which took place at the campus of the University of Antwerpen (Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen) from April 9 till 11, 1980. The invited talks give a broad perspective of the current state in Europe of research in condensed matter physics. New developments and advances in experiments as well as theory are reported for 28 topics. Some of these developments, such as the recent stabilization of mono-atomic hydrogen, with the challenging prospect of Bose condensation, can be considered as major break throughs in condensed matter physics. Of the 65 invited lecturers, 54 have submitted a manuscript. The remaining talks are published as abstracts. The contents of this first volume consists of 9 plenary papers. Among the topics treated in these papers are: - electronic structure computations of iron the density functional theory hydrogen in amorphous Si topologically disordered materials nuclear antiferromagnetism stabilization of mono-atomic hydrogen gas covalent and metallic glasses nonlinear excitations in ferroelectrics.
