Careful consideration has been given to the present and future needs for public buildings in DeKalb. Recommendations are included that would facilitate the conduct of public business and provide more desirable and useful public facilities. The second report suggests ways to improve the visual and aesthetic values of DeKalb. This is essentially a positive approach to good public and private housekeeping. The measures required to put the City Plan to work as an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the local government agencies is considered in the third report. It includes a discussion of the necessity for cooperation between the governmental agencies as well as the organization and responsibilities of the City Planning Commission. The final report provides a five year guide for public improvements so future needs and expenditures can be effectively determined and integrated.
