Book Synopsis Power Circuits by : Raven Kaldera

Download or read book Power Circuits written by Raven Kaldera. This book was released on 2010. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Power Circuits is an alliance between two alternative lifestyles: polyamory, or multiple open and honest romantic relationships; and power dynamics, relationships that choose to be consciously and deliberately unequal in power, such as dominant/submissive or master/slave. Both lifestyles are on the cutting-edge frontiers of romantic and sexual relating, and for a long time practitioners of both have found little sympathy in either camp. This is the first book of its kind that navigates the waters of effective polyamory and power exchanges, with many essays from the brave practitioners who swim there.

Download or read book Power Semiconductor Circuits written by Shashi B. Dewan. This book was released on 1975-09. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Detailed explanations suitable for self-instruction are given for the design and operation of a large variety of power supplies and converters. Provides a sound basis of theoretical knowledge while stressing practical methods, allowing the reader to apply the ideas in the text to all types of circuits. Discusses transient circuit analysis, Fourier analysis, electric machine theory, and elementary control system theory, and goes on to discuss various types of systems and their physical appearance, circuits including thyristors and the method of rating and classifying them. Individual classes of converter are examined in succeeding chapters. Numerical examples based on practical experience are included.

Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered how electricity powers your home or school? What about how that electricity travels? In any device that uses electricity, inside is a small path called a circuit through which electricity travels. Whether we see them in these devices or not, circuits are constantly at work. But how do circuits work? How were they invented? Explore the key concepts that make up a circuit, including the power source, conducting path, and load. Learn how circuits power devices of all sizes, from computers to the lights in your home to satellites in outer space!

Download or read book Fluid Power Circuits and Controls written by John S. Cundiff. This book was released on 2019-12-05. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fluid Power Circuits and Controls: Fundamentals and Applications, Second Edition, is designed for a first course in fluid power for undergraduate engineering students. After an introduction to the design and function of components, students apply what they’ve learned and consider how the component operating characteristics interact with the rest of the circuit. The Second Edition offers many new worked examples and additional exercises and problems in each chapter. Half of these new problems involve the basic analysis of specific elements, and the rest are design-oriented, emphasizing the analysis of system performance. The envisioned course does not require a controls course as a prerequisite; however, it does lay a foundation for understanding the extraordinary productivity and accuracy that can be achieved when control engineers and fluid power engineers work as a team on a fluid power design problem. A complete solutions manual is available for qualified adopting instructors.

Book Synopsis Power Circuits and Electromechanics by : M. A. Pai

Download or read book Power Circuits and Electromechanics written by M. A. Pai. This book was released on 2009. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Power Circuits and Electromechanics is intended to serve as a one semester introductory course in power circuits and electromechanical energy conversion. In many curricula, the traditional circuit theory course is being replaced by a course in analog processing. The students should have basic exposure to KCL, KVL and simple circuits as well as a course in field theory or electromagnetism before taking this course. The book is basically in three modules. The first module covers complex power in single and three phase circuits, analysis of magnetic circuits, mutually coupled circuits and single phase transformers. The second module, drawing upon the quasi-static approximation of magnetic field equations, develops the concepts of electromechanical energy conversion, forces of electric origin leading to the dynamics equations of motion of the electromechanical system. A brief introduction to state space modeling, static equilibrium and stability is included. The third module discusses in the energy, co-energy framework, the torque of electric origin in synchronous, induction and DC machines. In each case, the equivalent circuit for the machine for steady state operation is developed for analysis purposes. A brief discussion of single phase motors is presented at the end.
