Book Synopsis Microelectronics by : Behzad Razavi

Download or read book Microelectronics written by Behzad Razavi. This book was released on 2014-05-12. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By helping students develop an intuitive understanding of the subject, Microelectronics teaches them to think like engineers. The second edition of Razavi’s Microelectronics retains its hallmark emphasis on analysis by inspection and building students’ design intuition, and it incorporates a host of new pedagogical features that make it easier to teach and learn from, including: application sidebars, self-check problems with answers, simulation problems with SPICE and MULTISIM, and an expanded problem set that is organized by degree of difficulty and more clearly associated with specific chapter sections.

Book Synopsis Microelectronics by : Owen Bishop

Download or read book Microelectronics written by Owen Bishop. This book was released on 2000. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a completely new textbook written to be fully in line with the new BTEC Higher National unit from Edexcel, the 2000 specification Advanced GNVQ unit, BTEC NII and NIII, and A-Level modules. The resulting breadth of coverage makes Microelectronics - Systems and Devices an excellent international student text. The book takes a student-centred approach towards microelectronics, with Test Your Knowledge features to check understanding, and numerous Activities suitable for practicals, homeworks and other assignments. Key facts, formulae and definitions are highlighted to aid revision, and theory is backed up by numerous examples throughout the book. Each chapter ends with a set of problems, which include exam-style questions and multiple-choice questions, with numerical and multi-choice answers provided in the back of the book. In addition, a number of Assignments appear through the book for which answers are provided in a separate lecturer's supplement (free to adopters). The Assignments are ideal for tests or revision homeworks. As well as matching the latest syllabuses, this book covers the latest devices in use in colleges: the 80C31 and PIC families. The material is suitably flexible to provide a core text for colleges using other chips such as the 8051, the 8086/Pentium family and 'classics' such as the Z80 and 6502. Owen Bishop's talent for introducing the world of electronics has long been a proven fact with his Beginner's Guide to Electronics, Understand Electronics and a range of popular circuit construction guides chosen by thousands of students, lecturers and electronics enthusiasts. He is also well known for his college texts such as Understand Technical Mathematics.

Book Synopsis Women in Microelectronics by : Alice Cline Parker

Download or read book Women in Microelectronics written by Alice Cline Parker. This book was released on 2020-07-16. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains stories of women engineers’ paths through the golden age of microelectronics, stemming from the invention of the transistor in 1947. These stories, like the biographies of Marie Curie and the National Geographic’s stories of Jane Goodall’s research that inspired the authors will inspire and guide readers along unconventional pathways to contributions to microelectronics that we can only begin to imagine. The book explores why and how the women writing here chose their career paths and how they navigated their careers. This topic is of interest to a vast audience, from students to professionals to university advisers to industry CEOs, who can imagine the advantages of a future with a diverse work force. Provides insight into women’s early contributions to the field of microelectronics and celebrates the challenges they overcame; Presents compelling innovations from academia, research, and industry into advances, applications, and the future of microelectronics; Includes a fascinating look into topics such as nanotechnologies, video games, analog electronics, design automation, and neuromorphic circuits.

Book Synopsis Microelectronics Education by : B. Courtois

Download or read book Microelectronics Education written by B. Courtois. This book was released on 2013-03-09. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the third edition of the European Workshop on Microelectronics Education (EWME). A steady-state regime has now been reached. An international community of university teachers is constituted; they exchange their experience and their pedagogical tools. They discuss the best ways to transfer the rapidly changing techniques to their students, and to introduce them to the new physical and mathematical concepts and models for the innovative techniques, devices, circuits and design methods. The number of abstracts submitted to EWME 2000 (about one hundred) enabled the scientific committee to proceed to a clear selection. EWME is a European meeting. Indeed, authors from 20 different European countries contribute to this volume. Nevertheless, the participation of authors from Brazil, Canada, China, New Zealand, and USA, shows that the workshop gradually attains an international dimension. th The 20 century can be characterized as the "century of electron". The electron, as an elementary particle, was discovered by J.J. Thomson in 1897, and was rapidly used to transfer energy and information. Thanks to electron, universe and micro-cosmos could be explored. Electron became the omnipotent and omnipresent, almost immaterial, angel of our W orId. This was made possible thanks to electronics and, for the last 30 years, to microelectronics. Microelectronics not only modified and even radically transformed the industrial and the every-day landscapes, but it also led to the so-called "information revolution" with which begins the 21 st century.
