After his father provides financial assistance to help him flee a ruthless civil war in his native country, the boy makes many stops along the way before landing in the United Kingdom where he embarks down a obstacle-lined path to a new destiny. While living in exile, the boy matures into a man who struggles with finding a good reason to stay in his adopted country. After he attends university and law school, he trains as barrister where he encounters many difficulties working for the referendum commission and in the English courts, especially the RCJ. Unfortunately, he must also battle prejudices, racial discrimination, and the chronic disease of social injustice while attempting to find his place in a chaotic world where nothing is certain, especially in a court of law. In this international tale, a boy is led on a journey from Sudan to the United Kingdom where he eventually trains as a barrister and learns that attaining equality is easier said than done.
