Book excerpt: The study collected information from Jewish households and individuals in the 5-county Philadelphia Area to help Federation and other Jewish communal institutions and organizations plan for the future. A total of 1437 randomly selected respondents were interviewed. The study also included seven focus groups. Two focus groups were drawn from survey respondents who had answered "cannot make ends meet" or "just managing to make end meet." Focus groups findings included in this report are not statistically significant. They are included to add a "human voice" to the quantitative, survey-based information.
