So the writings you read will be a journey of my Faith; nature, Gods creation, and different aspects in life. The reason behind writing Jesus the Bridge is to bring to mind to others that there is a bridge that connects us to our Father in Heaven; Jesus Christ. And you will see some of my art that I enjoy doing in my spare time. It is a relaxing way to unwind at the end of the day. That and the fellowship of my family and my Christian family is the one thing that I enjoy the most. When you stop and look at your life, the main thing in life is enjoying all the fellowship of the family around you.

Book Synopsis Building a Bridge by : James Martin

Download or read book Building a Bridge written by James Martin. This book was released on 2018-03-13. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A treasure...a wise and entertaining book that should appeal to the spiritual pilgrim in all of us, no matter what the faith and no matter whether believer or nonbeliever.” – Chicago Tribune The New York Times bestselling author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything and Jesus: A Pilgrimage turns his attention to the relationship between LGBT Catholics and the Church in this loving, inclusive, and revolutionary book. A powerful call for tolerance, acceptance, and support—and a reminder of Jesus' message for us to love one another. In this moving and inspiring book, Martin offers a powerful, loving, and much-needed voice in a time marked by anger, prejudice, and divisiveness. On the day after the Orlando nightclub shooting, James Martin S.J. posted a video on Facebook in which he called for solidarity with our LGBT brothers and sisters. "The largest mass shooting in US history took place at a gay club and the LGBT community has been profoundly affected," he began. He then implored his fellow Catholics—and people everywhere—to "stand not only with the people of Orlando but also with their LGBT brothers and sisters." Father Martin's post went viral and was viewed more than 1.6 million times. Adapted from an address he gave to New Ways Ministry, a group that ministers to and advocates for LGBT Catholics, Building a Bridge provides a roadmap for repairing and strengthening the bonds that unite all of us as God's children. Martin uses the image of a two-way bridge to enable LGBT Catholics and the Church to come together in a call to end the "us" versus "them" mentality. Turning to the Catechism, he draws on the three criteria at the heart of the Christian ministry—"respect, compassion, and sensitivity"—as a model for how the Catholic Church should relate to the LGBT community. Book Synopsis Bridge Stories by : Susan Wilson-Shultz

Download or read book Bridge Stories written by Susan Wilson-Shultz. This book was released on 2014-04. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Like a lot of people, Susan didn't believe that she had a story worth sharing, a story that would impact lives for Christ--that is until that surprising day when God called her to write her testimony. That day, with fingers pressed upon the keys of her laptop, Susan embarked on a journey that forever changed her life as well as the lives of others. Over the course of a few years, as Susan wrote, God began to orchestrate the events of her life to paint a beautiful picture depicting how His people should live in preparation for His return and demonstrating His desire that we begin living lives that testify to Him. In these pages you will find more than simply the words that describe Susan's personal journey; you will hear the Savior's voice. You will hear the message that Jesus lovingly laid on her heart, a message that speaks about how He longs for His ultimate wedding day to His Bride, the Church, and about how we should live in preparation for that day. Just as a bridge once connected Jerusalem with the Temple Mount, bringing people closer to the Temple where God resided, these stories will lead you into a deeper relationship with the Lord. They will help you to discover your own story--for God created you to testify! You are meant to be a bridge that leads others to Christ. God wants to speak through you, so let's get started finding your story!

Book Synopsis Eden’s Bridge by : David B. Doty

Download or read book Eden’s Bridge written by David B. Doty. This book was released on 2012-01-01. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Eden's Bridge: The Marketplace in Creation and Mission explores a biblically based theology of the marketplace implicit in the creation narrative of Genesis 1-2. The thesis validates the calling and ministry of all marketplace Christians. David Doty invites readers to rethink and redirect the purposes of vocation, trade, and profit toward the purposes of God's Kingdom, as they were revealed in the beginning and are to be restored in Christ's reign. This book is eye-opening and inviting as it explores how God is moving to reclaim the marketplace for His Kingdom, and His redeeming purposes for the world of commerce. The marketplace holds untold potential if business is conducted according to God's plan: poverty can be eradicated, abundant living can be shared among all people, and shalom can prevail. Eden's Bridge offers hope for recovering from the recent collapse of the global economic system by envisioning a new view of how wealth is made and how the marketplace is yet to serve God's purposes in His mission to the world.
