Así pues, y desde la perspectiva cristiana, en este libro el Dr. Maldonado presenta los elementos básicos de la asesoría, los criterios que servirán para identificar a una familia sana e ir hacia ella, y las metas que se deben perseguir al asesorar y que servirán al asesor o consejero para promover el sano crecimiento tanto de la pareja como de la familia. Porque, a final de cuentas, la familia no es solamente el lugar donde encontramos refugio y alimento. La familia, por sobre todo, es el lugar donde nos formamos como y donde somos verdaderamente humanos y cristianos.
