Early consideration of EMC is required to ensure the proper operation of transmitting and receiving systems in their respective operational electromagnetic environments. The objective of this textbook is to provide methods for defining EMC requirements as well as techniques and equations for performing EMC predictions and calculations to achieve solutions for electromagnetic compatibility problems.The author has had many decades of practical experience, including several original calculation techniques and procedures, such as: The probability of interference in terms of the frequency difference between two devices, each operating within its own frequency band; The probability of interference in case of devices transmitting and receiving pulses, according to the probability that the pulses will overlap; The case where interference may be transmitted or received via the side lobes of devices whose antennas being directed towards any angle in space, but only cardinal, or principal, plane antenna patterns are available, rather than 3D data; Near field coupling approximation and more.This textbook, will provide personnel dealing with inter-system EMC and intra-system EMC, with the tools for performing their EMC tasks.
