Book Synopsis Unveiling the Truth about the War in the Womb by : Aaron B Claxton

Download or read book Unveiling the Truth about the War in the Womb written by Aaron B Claxton. This book was released on 2017-10-30. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The essential story about the mystery of the "War in the Womb" is recorded in Genesis 25:21-23. The word of God says, "Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea and Rebekah his wife conceived. But the children struggled together within her; and she said, 'If all is well, why am I like this?' So she went to inquire of the Lord. "And the Lord said to her: 'Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body, One people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger.'" The name of these twin brothers are Esau and Jacob - Esau the elder twin came out first and Jacob the younger brother caught hold of Esau's heel. Esau's name means "hairy" or "red" and Jacob's name means "Supplanter" or "Deceiver." The long and short of this story is that God chose Jacob (Israel) over Esau. Jacob became the father of the Israelite nation while Esau became one of the founders of the Arabic nation which subsequently became the Muslim people. The war that began in the womb continues until today. The conclusion of this war will be wrought by the Lord Jesus Christ at His Second Coming! (Isaiah 63:1-9 and Obadiah Chapter 1)

Book excerpt: The UNITED STATES MILITARY is made up of the Airforce, the Space force, the Navy, the Marines, the Submarines, the Coastguards, and the Army. BATTLE IN MY WOMB is a war fiction centered around the indomitable and formidable components of the US military and other notable military forces around the world. This fiction is used to simplify and explain the complications, morbidities and mortalities peculiar to the pregnant sickle cell woman [preconceptual, antenatal, intrapartum, peupereum and postpartum]. Just like how other high risk pregnancies need special care, I clearly explained in my book, how these complications and morbidities can be prevented and managed; and how both maternal and fetal mortalities can be reduced to the barest minimum! This is an outstanding Obstetric and gynecological guide to managing the pregnant sickle woman/patient. It stands out amidst other Obstetric and gynecology books in that a relatable story was used to simplify the medical jargon. This guide is perfect for the management of pregnant women with any class of the 7 types sickle cell diseases: Sickle Cell Anemia, Sickle Cell Hemoglobin C Disease / Sickle Hemoglobin C Disease (The "SC" Genotype [HBSC]); Hemoglobin S Beta Plus Thalassemia ( HBS Beta + ); Hemoglobin S Beta Zero Thalassemia (HBS Beta O); Hemoglobin SD, Hemoglobin SE and Hemoglobin SO.

Book Synopsis Policing the Womb by : Michele Goodwin

Download or read book Policing the Womb written by Michele Goodwin. This book was released on 2020-03-12. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Policing the Womb, Michele Goodwin explores how states abuse laws and infringe on rights to police women and their pregnancies. This book looks at the impact of these often arbitrary laws which can result in the punishment, incarceration, and humiliation of women, particularly poor women and women of color. Frequently based on unscientific claims of endangering a fetus, these laws allow extraordinary powers to state authorities over reproductive freedom and pregnancies. In this book, Michele Goodwin discusses real examples of women whose pregnancies have been controlled by the law and what has led to the United States being the deadliest country in the developed world for a woman to be pregnant.

Book Synopsis Womb Fantasies by : Caroline Rupprecht

Download or read book Womb Fantasies written by Caroline Rupprecht. This book was released on 2013-08-31. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Womb Fantasies examines the womb, an invisible and mysterious space invested with allegorical significance, as a metaphorical space in postwar cinematic and literary texts grappling with the trauma of post-holocaust, postmodern existence. In addition, it examines the representation of visible spaces in the texts in terms of their attribution with womb-like qualities. The framing of the study historically within the postwar era begins with a discussion of Eero Saarinen’s Womb Chair in the context of the Cold War’s need for safety in light of the threat of nuclear destruction, and ranges over films such as Marguerite Duras’ and Alan Resnais’ film Hiroshima mon amour and Duras’ novel The Vice-Consul, exploring the ways that such cultural texts fantasize the womb as a response to trauma, defined as the compulsive need to return to the site of loss, a place envisioned as both a secure space and a prison. The womb fantasy is linked to the desire to recreate an identity that is new and original but ahistorical.
