Kingdom life gives us power and authority over circumstances not just in this life but also in the life after death. Our LORD Jesus has already conquered the world. He has also paid the full price for our sins and rebellion against God, that we should no longer live as slaves to sin and in subjection to the evil one. Provision has been made to ensure the victory for every believer by faith alone on account of what Jesus Christ has done on the cross. By continuing in the word of God, we receive the grace to say no to all forms of ungodliness, as well as the divine empowerment to live self-controlled upright lives here on earth as we wait with blessed hope for the appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:11)
