Book excerpt: The world as we knew it ceased to exist in twenty-four hours when a regional conflict spun out of control and pulled every nation into the war. By the end of the day more than 6 billion people were incinerated as pre-assigned nuclear targets were fired upon. When the cities were vaporized, millions of tons of dirt and ash were thrown into the air and blocked out the sun, plunging the globe into an unnatural winter. From the ruins of the irradiated wastes emerged a new breed of creature. Some of the survivors call them zombies, others refer to them as mutants, but the fact remains that their sole desire is to murder the unchanged and eat whatever they can find. Their bite spreads the diseases that they carry and all who come in contact with them are suspected of being infected as well. The lack of government creates a void that is filled by local warlords who struggle with each other for food and resources. These clashes threaten to destroy the last vestiges of humanity as the basic needs of food, water and shelter take precedence over everything else. Into this world of chaos and depravity Chuck and Rebecca Broussard must fight for their survival while they attempt to lead a small group of survivors further south away from the deepening cold.

Book Synopsis Armageddon by : Dick Morris

Download or read book Armageddon written by Dick Morris. This book was released on 2016-05-27. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New York Times Bestseller AT STAKE: THE FUTURE OF AMERICA The 2016 election is truly America's Armageddon—the ultimate and decisive battle to save America, a fight to defeat Hillary Clinton and the forces seeking to flout our constitutional government and replace it with an all-powerful president backed up by an activist judiciary that answers to no one. Already President Obama has moved America far down this path, and a President Clinton will act as his "third term," institutionalizing the excesses of the past eight years. In Armageddon, bestselling author and political strategist Dick Morris provides a winning game plan to take back the White House, and America. Because this is our last chance: • Our last chance to stop socialist uniformity, corruption and executive usurpation • Our last chance to curb welfare programs that are destroying the economic and social fabric of the nation • Our last chance to secure our border and keep our sovereignty • Our last chance to stand up against ISIS and terrorism • Our last chance to protect the Second Amendment We can do it. We must. It's our last chance. Read Armageddon, or risk losing the battle to save America! On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, American voters will make a momentous decision. They will decide whether or not this great country will remain a free market, constitutional democracy. The stakes could not be higher. If Hillary Clinton is elected president, it will mean the end of the America we know and love. Armageddon, by New York Times bestselling authors Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, is a call to arms, a call to join that ultimate battle. Few know Hillary Clinton better than Dick Morris. For almost two decades he served as a special adviser to both her and her husband, Bill Clinton. He knows their strengths, their vulnerabilities, and even their deepest secrets. In Armageddon, Morris offers a manual on how to win this battle and defeat Hillary once and for all. He argues that a typical Republican campaign won’t work—and that Hillary’s opponent must strike her in a very unorthodox and powerful way. Morris says it’s a winning strategy and voters play a critical role. A noted political strategist, Dick Morris has created winning strategies for numerous presidential campaigns in the U.S. and abroad. In this book he lays out a war plan, one the Republican nominee must use to prevent her victory: • Throw a surprising right jab: terrorism and healthcare • Throw the left hook: jobs, immigration, Wall Street • Play her game on class warfare: women, Latinos, and young voters Republicans need to stop playing by the old rules of the game. Those rules don’t work—they elected Barack Obama twice. Obama has changed America in fundamental ways and Morris posits that Hillary’s opponents need to grasp this and implement a strategy that can finally defeat her.

Book Synopsis Armageddon and OKRA by : Lewis Frederickson

Book excerpt: The dispatch of an Ottoman Army by Australian-led Imperial air power in the Wadi Fara on 21 September 1918 occurred just five years after the advent of military aviation in Australia. In 1914, the fledgling Australian air service operated the flimsy Bristol Boxkite; four years later it was flying the far more advanced Bristol F2B Fighter. This leap forward represented a profound progress in technology that has typified the technical development of aviation, particularly in Australia ever since. Ironically, on 21 September 2014, 96 years after the events of the Wadi Fara, Australian squadrons were again deployed to the same part of the world where they would remain for more than three years on operations against extremist terrorism. Armageddon and OKRA contrasts these events, a century apart, in the context of the development of Australian air power. The book tracks the history where Australia has maintained a balanced air service compelling high technical, logistics and engineering standards, and effective training and command and control systems, for more than 100 years. These processes were as applicable a century ago as they are today. By examining these operational events, the author establishes the connection that access to the technology associated with air power is intrinsically linked to Australia’s enduring foreign and defence policy – more so, that military power is a means to an end, and never an end unto itself.

Book excerpt: Who will be a part of the meek generation, and why will they inherit the earth when that time comes? A couple of last-days scenarios have been fairly dominant in Christian studies for a long time now, and these must necessarily be challenged--for in order to be fully ready to endure, one must look at the future from as many viewpoints as possible, not just settling on the idea that sounds good or seems popular. War is coming both for Jews and Christians, even while the world experiences peace, so keeping an open mind about that peace is probably one of the greatest hurdles Christianity must face. This is a crash course on a last-days scenario that most have not yet considered. Those who can read it with comprehension might have an advantage over those who will not. And remember, if you are in the woods and you meet a bear, you don't necessarily need to outrun the bear so much as you just have to outrun that guy next to you. That was a poor attempt at humor there. Sadly, you won't find much of that here, for this is a serious and controversial subject. The tone might come across as rough to some, while others could find it unreadable, and yet it contains both knowledge and understanding that will give many a fresh perspective on the last days, a perspective that will actually help Israel and godly folk to endure the trouble that is coming someday. We are given foresight for a reason, and that reason goes beyond just having Bible studies or participating in academic discussions. This is a call to action and a call to prepare for action, both now and later.
