Volume 1 -- with a focus on US electric utilities -- contains final 1997 data on net generation and fossil fuel consumption, stocks, receipts, and cost; preliminary 1997 data on generating unit capability, and retail sales of electricity, associated revenue, and the average revenue per kilowatthour of electricity sold (based on a monthly sample: Form EIA-826,''Monthly Electric Utility Sales and Revenue Report with State Distributions''). Additionally, information on net generation from renewable energy sources and on the associated generating capability is included in Volume 1 of the EPA.
