Within 10 to 15 days of planing, the weight, twist, crook, and bow of each stud were recorded. All were then carefully stacked with sticks in a building controlled at 72 F. And 50 percent rh. Ovendry weights and specific gravity were calculated from determinations made on 2-inch cross-sectional slices from ends of all studs.
