Triple perspectiva desde el Derecho, la Psicología y la Medicina, trata de concienciar, a través de una investigación interdisciplinar, la importancia de facilitar el desarrollo de la actividad laboral a personas con discapacidad, porque sus circunstancias personales, unidas a las barreras que encuentran en su puesto de trabajo, les pueden ocasionar mayores dificultades que a otras personas que no presentan discapacidad. Lo que hace necesaria la búsqueda de instrumentos, figuras, y medios que permitan el acceso al trabajo en iguales condiciones que los demás. Tales medios e instrumentos, se analizan con detenimiento en la presente monografía, no solo desde una perspectiva jurídica, también, mediante el conocimiento de los factores psicosociales que afectan a personas con discapacidad, así como desde el punto de vista de la medicina del trabajo que profundiza en la vertiente funcional, y en la formación en prevención de riesgos laborales. Todo ello, contribuirá a mejorar y a potenciar el acceso y la permanencia de este colectivo en el mercado laboral.--
