Outstanding researchers are recruited to highlight developments and remaining challenges in both the basic research and clinical arenas. This current book is the 16th volume of a continuing series. Chapter "Epithelial Stem Cells: Making, Shaping and Breaking the Niche" is available open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License via link.springer.com.
