Book Synopsis Apostacy: the Deceived Generation by : Susan Seymour

Download or read book Apostacy: the Deceived Generation written by Susan Seymour. This book was released on 2008. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “It’s time to return to biblical roots in reaching out to the younger generations,” says author Susan Seymour. She is passionate about the Word of God and America’s youth. However, years of teaching elementary, middle, and high school students and participating in church ministry programs to the same age groups have left her convinced that our nation is in dire need of sincere revival. Apostasy is both a call to awareness and an appeal for the church to simplify, returning to an emphasis on the simple foundations of our faith instead of a reliance on new and improved programs. Her message will encourage parents and leaders to take charge and contend for a generation that has been disillusioned by the ways of the world.

Book Synopsis Project Apostasy by : Jesse Acuff

Download or read book Project Apostasy written by Jesse Acuff. This book was released on 2008-08-29. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Project Apostasy: The Development and Propagation of the Trinitarian Doctrine is Satan's story. Spurred by his inordinate beauty and consumate pride, he rebelled against his Creator. Undeterred by his categorical defeat, he launched the most blasphemous doctrine to ever invade the Christian Church. Through his evil minions, the Babylonian king Nimrod and his mother-wife Semiramis, Satan developed the Trinitarian Doctrine which was spread worldwide by the Babylonian Mysteries, taken up by the Romish Church, who has been its most ardent disseminator since the 4th century AD. Through the ages this doctrine has become the darling of orthodox Christianity and is taught as fact when there is no evidence of it in the Scriptures. Nevertheless, it has affected millions by keeping them in abject spiritual darkness. A.W. Tozer, in his book The Knowledge of the Holy, on page 6, observes, "The essence of idolatry is the entertainment of thoughts about God that are unworthy of Him." He further states, "Wrong ideas about God are not only the fountain from which the polluted waters of idolatry flow; they are themselves idolatrous." Project Apostasy and the Holy Trinity challenges the reader to search out the truth behind the development of the Trinitarian Doctrine. It behooves us to emulate the Bereans who searched the Scriptures daily seeking the truth. It is time that we returned to the Gospel the Apostles first delivered. Jesus quoted the Shema as his creed. "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one God." And in John 17: 3 he declared His Father as "the only true God." This is pure monotheism as opposed to the orthodox Trinitarian concept of three-in-one. We should, rather, take up the creed of Jesus and the Apostles and cease from our idolatrous worship of a triune God, a concept never taught in the pages of the Bible.

Book excerpt: In the last few years, Christians have expressed dissatisfaction with the course their church has taken. Theyve noticed shifting priorities. The trend is to rewrite and reinterpret Gods Word. In There Is a Difference, author Susan Seymour discusses this paradigm shift and communicates the need to return to the Jesus of the Bible. Through scriptural references and a collection of outside sources, Seymour shows the importance of discernment, especially for todays youth as they face a critical future and stand on the edge of a fatal spiritual cliff. This study examines discernment, the choice between good and evil, and differences between Christianity and other religions. There Is a Difference gives hope and assurance to parents and church leaders, teaching important differences between right and wrong in a day of uncertainty. It seeks to help Christians recognize clever but deceitful half-truths which have invaded much of todays spiritual information.

Download or read book The Coming Apostasy written by Mark Hitchcock. This book was released on 2017. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are we on the verge of a great apostasy in the church? "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths." --2 Timothy 4:3-4 Jesus Christ is coming back. It is certainly a Christian's greatest hope during these difficult times. The Bible warns us that the last days will be tumultuous--wars and rumors of wars will spread (Matthew 24:6). In our age, the world seems to be spinning out of control, creating fear, confusion, and uncertainty. In addition to violence, pestilence, and epidemics, the Bible predicts a great "falling away" from God in the end times. Bible teachers call that "the great apostasy." Are we seeing evidence today in the church of this massive rejection of sound and wholesome teaching? Bestselling authors Mark Hitchcock and Jeff Kinley team up to examine the evidence from the teachers of our time. Are today's teachers allowing people to follow their own desires by telling them what they want to hear, as the Bible clearly predicts? Are major portions of the church ready to abandon sound and wholesome teaching? Together, Mark and Jeff explore alarming trends among today's church leaders and they are simply stunned by what they discover. The great apostasy is coming, but is it closer than we imagine? What does that mean for the future? Let Mark and Jeff be your steady guides to the difficult days ahead.
