Book excerpt: The covered Muslim woman is a common spectacle in Western media—a victim of male brutality, the oppressed and suffering wife or daughter. And the resulting negative stereotypes of Muslim men, stereotypes reinforced by the post-9/11 climate in which he is seen as a potential terrorist, have become so prominent that they influence and shape public policy, citizenship legislation, and the course of elections across Europe and throughout the Western world. In this book, Katherine Pratt Ewing asks why and how these stereotypes—what she terms "stigmatized masculinity"—largely go unrecognized, and examines how Muslim men manage their masculine identities in the face of such discrimination. The author focuses her analysis and develops an ethnographic portrait of the Turkish Muslim immigrant community in Germany, a population increasingly framed in the media and public discourse as in crisis because of a perceived refusal of Muslim men to assimilate. Interrogating this sense of crisis, Ewing examines a series of controversies—including honor killings, headscarf debates, and Muslim stereotypes in cinema and the media—to reveal how the Muslim man is ultimately depicted as the "abjected other" in German society.

Book Synopsis Stolen Honor by : Clint Lorance

Download or read book Stolen Honor written by Clint Lorance. This book was released on 2020-09-22. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The captivating account of how Clint Lorance, a soldier who became a scapegoat for a corrupt military hierarchy, was falsely charged with war crimes, imprisoned, and eventually pardoned by President Trump. While out on patrol in Afghanistan, Clint Lorance learned that two men, both suspected suicide bombers, were speeding toward a crowded city on motorcycles. Lorance couldn't see them, but his men on the ground had clear shots. After a split second, he gave the order to shoot, killing both men. In the months that followed, Lorance was arrested by the military and put on trial for war crimes. Prosecutors claimed that the order he gave constituted an act of premeditated murder, and they sentenced him to twenty years in prison. In Stolen Honor, Lorance finally tells the story of this event and the trial it led to -- how the prosecutors declined to admit clear-cut evidence that would have exonerated him, how the men in his unit turned on him, and why he still believes he was right to give the order to shoot. It is a story that stretches from small-town America to the deserts of Afghanistan, from the White House to the tiny jail cell where Lorance spent six years waiting on his exoneration, which finally came when President Trump pardoned him in 2019. The book also discusses Lorance's plans to attend law school and help reform the broken military justice system.

Book excerpt: "Dr. Reisman's research has opened my eyes to the root cause of many of the societal ills we deal with today..." Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel "Dr. Reisman has produced a scholarly and devastating study..." Dr. Laura Schlessinger "The Sexual Revolution was based on a lie. Judith Reisman has spent thirty years uncovering the truth." The National Review "In the course of producing my documentary - Kinsey's Paedophiles - it became clear that every substantive allegation Reisman made was not only true, but also thoroughly sourced...despite the Kinsey Institute's reluctance to open its files." Tim Tate, UNESCO and Amnesty International Award-winning Producer-Director of "Kinsey's Paedophiles," Yorkshire Television, UK In 1948, traumatized World War II American veterans struggled to resume a normal life. Our Greatest Generation was unaware that the evil they defeated overseas had invaded their homeland with sexual libels defiling the Judeo-Christian foundation for which so many had fought and died. Stunned by their children's 1960s Sexual Revolution, our WWII warriors were helpless as Alfred Kinsey's pornographic, homosexist lies, which were backed by Indiana University, the Rockefeller Foundation and mass media, became "revealed truth" to all from PhD to Kindergarten. Kinsey's influence has Stolen Honor from our WWII veterans. In 1977, following the indifference of trusted adults toward her young daughter's rape, Dr. Reisman discovered Kinsey's barbaric sex abuses of up to 2,034 children and infants-some as young as two months of age-by his "team" in Indiana University's protected soundproof laboratories. Kinsey's influence has Stolen Innocence from our children. Dr. Reisman proved how Kinsey's frauds gutted our child and family protective laws, as well as justified Planned Parenthood's school sex education, Hugh Hefner's pornography plague and the "gay rights" movement. "The Kinsey Institute" still gets millions of your tax dollars. Dr. Reisman demands an immediate congressional investigation for Kinsey's victims and university complicity in mass child sex abuse atrocities-employing at least one German, Nazi pedophile. According to Human Events, Kinsey's reports are "the most harmful" American "books of the 19th and 20th Centuries." Read! Then act on this knowledge for our very survival as a nation.

Book excerpt: The agents of the Time Bureau, working within the protection of the towering Px Dome, scour history for anomalies. Part historian, part detective, they are the only thing defending reality from the time shifts and paradox waves caused when rogue factors try to steal from the past or rewrite history for their personal gain.An item is pawned decades before its creation, and the investigation of this anomaly falls to junior Agent Ryan Hajjar. He is stepping into his first assignment without the oversight or guidance of his partner Senior Agent Elizabeth Johnston. He has always been the top of his class, the youngest in history to achieve time travel by thought, and the youngest to enter the Time Bureau. Even being a savant, this assignment may be more than he can handle as the paradox is not truly the item, but the information that it contains. While her partner is on his first solo assignment, Agent Johnston is presented with an impossible image. The picture of a teenage girl, possibly her, apparently taken in Warsaw, Poland, 1939. Johnston has no memory of visiting Warsaw when she was a teenager, much less at the dawn of World War II, over four centuries ago. Could this be a hoax? Could this be the result of a parallel reality? Could this be rogue timeline? Could this be a case of her honor stolen or something more?
