Book Synopsis Nonlinear System Identification by Haar Wavelets by : Przemysław Sliwinski

Download or read book Nonlinear System Identification by Haar Wavelets written by Przemysław Sliwinski. This book was released on 2012-10-12. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In order to precisely model real-life systems or man-made devices, both nonlinear and dynamic properties need to be taken into account. The generic, black-box model based on Volterra and Wiener series is capable of representing fairly complicated nonlinear and dynamic interactions, however, the resulting identification algorithms are impractical, mainly due to their computational complexity. One of the alternatives offering fast identification algorithms is the block-oriented approach, in which systems of relatively simple structures are considered. The book provides nonparametric identification algorithms designed for such systems together with the description of their asymptotic and computational properties.

Book Synopsis Advanced Nonlinear Strategies for Vibration Mitigation and System Identification by : Alexander F. Vakakis

Download or read book Advanced Nonlinear Strategies for Vibration Mitigation and System Identification written by Alexander F. Vakakis. This book was released on 2011-01-27. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The papers in this volume address advanced nonlinear topics in the general areas of vibration mitigation and system identification, such as, methods of analysis of strongly nonlinear dyanmical systems; techniques and methodologies for interpreting complex, multi-frequency transitions in damped nonlinear responses; new approaches for passive vibration mitigation based on nonlinear targeted energy transfer (TET) and the associated concept of nonlinear energy sink (NES); and an overview and assessment of current nonlinear system identification techniques.

Book Synopsis Combined Parametric-Nonparametric Identification of Block-Oriented Systems by : Grzegorz Mzyk

Download or read book Combined Parametric-Nonparametric Identification of Block-Oriented Systems written by Grzegorz Mzyk. This book was released on 2013-11-20. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book considers a problem of block-oriented nonlinear dynamic system identification in the presence of random disturbances. This class of systems includes various interconnections of linear dynamic blocks and static nonlinear elements, e.g., Hammerstein system, Wiener system, Wiener-Hammerstein ("sandwich") system and additive NARMAX systems with feedback. Interconnecting signals are not accessible for measurement. The combined parametric-nonparametric algorithms, proposed in the book, can be selected dependently on the prior knowledge of the system and signals. Most of them are based on the decomposition of the complex system identification task into simpler local sub-problems by using non-parametric (kernel or orthogonal) regression estimation. In the parametric stage, the generalized least squares or the instrumental variables technique is commonly applied to cope with correlated excitations. Limit properties of the algorithms have been shown analytically and illustrated in simple experiments.

Book Synopsis Computational Intelligence for Modelling, Control & Automation by : Masoud Mohammadian

Download or read book Computational Intelligence for Modelling, Control & Automation written by Masoud Mohammadian. This book was released on 1999. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reliable and straightforward, this text has helped thousands of students learn to write well. Jean Wyrick's rhetorically organized STEPS TO WRITING WELL WITH ADDITIONAL READINGS is known for its student-friendly tone and the clear way it presents the basics of essay writing in an easy-to-follow progression of useful lessons and activities. Through straightforward advice and thoughtful assignments, the text gives students the practice they need to approach writing well-constructed essays with confidence. With Wyrick's helpful instruction and the book's professional samples by both well-known classic and contemporary writers, STEPS TO WRITING WELL WITH ADDITIONAL READINGS sets students on a solid path to writing success. Everything students need to begin, organize, and revise writing--from choosing a topic to developing the essay to polishing prose--is right here In the ninth edition, Wyrick updates and refines the book's successful approach, adding useful new discussions, readings, exercises, essay assignments, and visual images for analysis.
